DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING – INTRO TO DIVE

Have you ever wondered what it´s like to breathe under water? You have a great opportunity to find out! Alona Beach is one of the best scuba diving places in the Philippines, and with us you can discover the excitement of exploring the underwater world.

 

While not an actual scuba certification, you will learn -and practice in our swimming pool (link to the picture of the swimming pool)- the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive before exploring the underwater world.

 

What you need:

 

To enroll in the Discover Scuba Diving or Intro to Dive adventure you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health. Kids under 10 years old can join our Bubblemaker adventure.

 

Time: 2 – 3 hours

BUBBLEMAKER

Youngsters can also join in the family fun of scuba diving or even start a trend!

 

In a fun way, they will learn the basic safety concepts about scuba diving before trying out the equipment in our swimming pool. They will experience breathing underwater for the first time and will practice some skills in the comfort and safety of confined water. Maximum depth is only 2 meters (6 feet). This is a fun, easy, and safe activity that will encourage them to explore and love the ocean!

 

What you need:

 

The Bubblemaker adventure is open to kids 8 and 9 years old. While they don’t have to be super swimmers they must feel comfortable in the water.

 

Time: 2-3 hours

SCUBA DIVER

Are you short on time but are willing to become a certified diver? The PADI Scuba Diver Certification might be right for you. This course requires less time than the PADI Open Water Diver course, covering only the first three of five sections.

 

As a PADI Scuba Diver you will be qualified to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Divemaster or Assistant Instructor to a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet).

 

At a later time you can upgrade you certification by completing the rest of the PADI Open Water Diver Certification.

 

What you need:

 

To enroll in the PADI Scuba Diver course or Junior Scuba Diver course, you must be at least 10 years old.

 

What you get:

 

PADI OW video with 3 sections:

  • Open Water Manual including 3 knowledge review sections (e-Learners: Enhancement pack)

ADVENTURE DIVER / ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

The Advance Open Water Diver course increases your confidence underwater and builds your scuba diving skills. On top of becoming more comfortable in the water, this a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

 

What you need:

 

To enroll in this course you must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) and at least 15 years old (12 years old for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)

 

What you get:

 

  • PADI´s Adventures in diving Manual (e-Learners: Enhancement pack)

 

  • To be Adventure Diver you must choose 3 Adventure Dives

 

  • To be Advance Open Water Diver you must choose 5 Adventure Dives

 

 

Mandatory dives: Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation Dive.

RESCUE DIVER

Scuba divers often describe this as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands what you already know about how to prevent problems, and about how to manage them if they occur.

Rescue Diver Manual and Certification

 

Time: 4 days

EFR

PADI Emergency First Responder course is a one-day training program that will give you all the abilities to provide first aid assistance and CPR. You will learn to monitor and stabilize a patient while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive. These skills could prove vital in your daily life as well as for diving.

 

The PADI EFR course is divided in two parts: Primary Care where you learn about CPR, including chest compression and rescue breathing, and Secondary Care that covers illnesses or injures assessment.

 

What you need:

 

Everybody can enroll in the PADI EFR course.

 

What you get:

 

EFR manual and reference cards.

 

Practice sessions and accident simulations.

DIVEMASTER COURSE

Would you like to live doing something you are passionate about while scuba diving every day? We can make you part of our team and not just a paying customer.

 

Either if you want to be a better and safer diver or you want to turn your passion for scuba diving into a career, the PADI Divemaster course is the first step. As a PADI Divemaster you are allowed to supervise recreational diving activities and to assist instructors with their students.

 

Come and be part of our team! The course is intense; it covers high levels of theory and will sharpen your scuba skills while working closely with our instructional staff.

 

By enrolling in the PADI Divemaster course you will gain real-life experience while assisting instructors on their courses, and guiding groups of scuba divers.

 

What you need:

 

  • You must be at least 18 years old

 

  • Minimum of 40 logged dives

 

  • Current first aid certification completed in the last 24 months (PADI EFR)

 

 

Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months

SPECIALTY COURSES

Once you have your diving license you can learn different specialties depending on your interests. Each specialty provides you more in-depth knowledge, skills and techniques for different diving environment. Our most popular PADI Specialty scuba course is NITROX (EANx) gives you a longer bottom time and shorter surface intervals by reducing the amount of nitrogen you accumulate in your body. Digital Underwater Photographer, Deep diver, Wreck Diver, Night Diver… are some of the possible PADI specialty courses that you can do.

 

 

For certified divers who want to dive for longer and reduce the effects of nitrogen in the body. In your NITROX course, you will learn to dive in a safe way using air with higher oxygen and lower nitrogen. You will learn the theory behind nitrox diving, how to analyze your tank, set your computer and plan your dive, and of course enjoy diving with Nitrox!!!
