Description:
Between Royal Garden and Sanctuary we find this steep slope decorated with big gorgonians, corals and ledges. If we are lucky we can find a few white tip sharks resting in the small caves. We will look out for shining big mouth mackerel, blue
fin trevallies, turtles and barracudas.

Bluefin trevally, barracuda, angelfish, anemonefish, frogfish, nudibranch, leaf scorpion fish, moray eel, parrotfish.

20. MARINE SANCTUARY

Depth:
3-35 meters

Current:
sometimes a mild current

Description:
Located in a protected area, it is a wall with many small caverns, ledges and overhangs. Very famous because of the big school of jackfish (big eye trevally) forming an amazing tornado. On sunny days, the wall will fascinate us with the reflection of light through fissures and holes. We will finish the dive surrounded by colorful fish and coral at the sanctuary, where we will find the giant clams. Good place for snorkeling.

Marine Life:
Turtle, jackfish, bluefin trevally, midnight snapper, schools of surgeon fish, lion fish, banana nudibranch, needlefish, triggerfish, etc.

21. RUDY´S ROCK

Depth:
8-40 meters

Description:
Deep drop-off dive with incredible corals, small caverns and crevices. In the shallow part, the coral garden is rich in soft leathery and stony corals. Quite often we find the big school of jackfish forming a tornado on the open water.

Marine Life:
Jackfish, turtle, surgeonfish, snapper, moorish idol, trumpet-fish, sweetlips, bluefin trevally, needlefish, barracuda, rainbow runner, etc.

22. BLACK FOREST

Depth:
8-40 meters

Description:
Due to his great biodiversity, this is one of the most famous dives in Balicasag  Island. It gets its name from the black corals, Antipathes, found at a depth of 35 -45 meters. We begin the dive on a sandy area with plenty of coral formations full of macro life and reef fish. We then descend following the slope, which goes down to 40 meters. If, as often happens, there is a current, we will do a drift dive.

Marine life:
We can find lots of coral heads, turtle, parrotfish, damselfish, anemonefish,  barracuda, large grouper, triggerfish (be careful, between May and July they will probably attack you), frogfish, etc.

23. ROYAL GARDEN

Depth:
8-35 meter

Description:
Over the shallow sandy bottom we can find plenty of coral formations, home to many reef fish. On the areas covered with sea grass we will see turtles eating, the small ones still afraid of the divers but the old and bigones eating peacefully.

Marine Life:
Green sea turtle, hawksbill sea turtle, ribbon eel, titan triggerfish, moray eel, nudibranch, frogfish, blue fin trevally hunting angel fish, robust ghost pipefish,
anemonefish, dragonfish, pufferfish, porcupine fish,
