Becoming a Divemaster is a big step and will introduce you to the professional diving world, allowing you to access a new lifestyle. This course will be intense and comprehensive, and will cover in-depth diving theory and practice to sharpen your scuba skills while working closely with our dedicated staff. You will become part of our team during your stay and not just another paying customer.

As in all the PADI courses the Dive Master Course consists of two main sections:

A. ACADEMIC STUDY

The academic part of your Dive Master training is usually divided in classroom and independent study sessions. Most of the academic study is conducted independently on your own time. In addition, you will have classroom sessions with your instructor where you will discuss all the topics present in your Dive Master manual.

For your academic study you will…

1. Complete 9 knowledge development sections including their Knowledge Reviews, present in the PADI Divemaster Manual

2. Prepare an emergency assistance plan for an specific dive site

3. Map a dive site

4. Take the Divemaster Final Exam.

B. PRACTICE

Besides the academic study, the PADI Divemaster course includes pool work and open water training.

Confined Water (Pool) training

During your pool sessions you will practice skills, workshops and a practical assessment. You will do all of this while running Scuba Review programs, assisting with Open Water students and instructors in everything that is needed.

Open Water training

The number of open water dives differs from student to student. The open water training consists of a mapping project, a search and recovery scenario, a deep dive scenario, skills practice, workshops and practical assessments. All this is done while leading certified divers or assisting in Open Water courses as well as any other courses taking place at that moment in our dive centre.

More opportunities and more fun sharing what interests you – that’s what teaching specialty diver courses is all about.

Many Instructors don’t teach PADI Specialty courses because they don’t promote them, the main reason for this is that they are unfamiliar with the course components, skills and theory and don’t feel comfortable teaching them. The best way to learn how to teach specialty courses is to take a Specialty Instructor course from your PADI Course Director. With our Specialty Instructor Training Courses, you will research the relevant standards and procedures for each course, as well as learning about logistics and practicalities of teaching the course. As a result you will feel more confident about teaching your chosen Specialties and so will be enthusiastic about promoting them.

Specialty instructor courses provide teaching tips and hands-on experience that you can implement right away.

PADI Assistant Instructors, instructor candidates in training, and PADI Divemasters are eligible to enroll in certain specialty instructor courses.

(Please consult ahead of time due to the fact that some of the PADI Specialty Instructor ratings require a student level certification as a prerequisite.)

EFR INSTRUCTOR COURSE

PRICE 15.000 PHP

CPR and first aid are key skills that are important to everyone, not just scuba divers. As an Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor, you teach skills based on internationally recognized emergency care guidelines.

Our course is aimed mainly at Divemaster Trainees, Divemasters and those who are thinking of becoming a PADI Instructor. This credential is a prerequisite to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor, but the great thing with the EFR Instructor rating is that you can teach the EFR participant level to anyone not just divers.

During our course you will gain experience in how to structure learning, the requirements of performance-based training and your role as the Instructor in the learning environment for teaching CPR and First Aid.

You also learn how to motivate students, evaluate student knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing students’ hands-on skills practice sessions, and are taught how to present an effective scenario-based learning experience.

Our course covers both the Primary & Secondary Care Course for Adults as well as the Care for Children Course. As an Instructor, you can teach these portions separately or together, giving you plenty of opportunity to market your potentially life-saving skills to a wide range of people.

You also learn to conduct the highly valuable Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen administration management skills.

Importantly, this course is taught by EFR Instructor Trainers who are committed to making the course a “serious fun” experience, leaving candidates with the confidence to pass on skills and knowledge to future students in a positive learning environment.

Excludes: EFR Instructor Application (AUD 177)
